Many years ago, you came to my block to put my car fire out. You guys were quick, and very good at your jobs. I was in a total panick when the leaves underneath my car caught fire. On top of that , my gas tank was filled, and I was parked between 2 cars and a tree behind me. You guys showed up quickly, put my car out, which was a total lose. I want to thank you so much for saving others cars, and the block from a total nightmare. You guys rock. I will always be in your corner. I hope the best for you, and hope you all come home safe.God bless you guys.
Things sure changed.Ive been retired now some 19 years and hardley know any names I see. Good luck fellas. BE SAFE!25
Thank you for your quick response to fires in Reading. I appreciate that you are all well trained for what I consider a challenging job. I'm glad I haven't forgot feel a door stay low when there's smoke, stop. drop & roll running if a person is on fire does no good...I learned in Los Angeles where I'm from..... (Fire Burns. Smoke Kills) this is a blog post UPDATED FEB 22, 2014 when I attended the LAUSD (Los Angeles Unified School District I learned Practice GET LOW AND GO. I'm grateful in the Reading area I've heard this repeated my daughters have been through safe houses in Reading/Berks.....I hope you receive many blessing & I hope you stay safe bottom line is you risk your lives to save others you are angels on earth!

I want to thank the Firemen and EMS crew for the delivery of my baby girl Madyson on March 24, 2014. Because of all of you, my baby girl and I are doing well. We couldn't make it to hospital on time, and the only thing to do was to call for help. My family and I are very greatfull to all of you who came to my house to help.
Did you have a Riverside 11 back in the early 1900s.
i been a feind of ronnie (moose) for a long time and i will miss him as feind (rip) from one from firefighter to another
I am Ronnie's niece. Chris's daughter. I never got to meet Uncle Ronnie and that saddens me. I have 2 wonderful boys that I would loved to have met him as well. I learned of his condition just a little while ago and wish I would have had more time. I pray for his family and I am glad he is at peace. Whether we have met or not we were still family and I'll always remember the stories I was told. God bless.
We just learned that Ronnie (Moose) lost his battle. Our family was honored to be a part of the light the night event. Our hearts go out to his friends and family. His memories live in you.
I'll be 22 in December and I enjoy fire fighting a lot. I am a volunteer fire fighter for Upper Mount Bethel Volunteer Fire Department for 2 and a half years now. I went through Northampton County Fire Academy as well! I'm searching for paid fire fighter jobs as well! What's the best way I can find some?
Glad to see the history of the fire service in Reading is being preserved.
