2nd Alarm Fire on Greenwich Street

16:26 Hours/ 239 Greenwich Street/ Box 704/ A Platoon-

Companies were dispatched to the 200 Block of Greenwich Street for reports of fire from the 3rd floor. C3 arrived on scene and confirmed fire showing from the 3rd floor, rear of a semi detached. E3 assumed first due engine and rapidly deployed a line. Crews found fire in the walls and wind driven fire in the cock loft. After 30 minutes of aggressive fire attack, command requested a 2nd alarm for manpower. The fire was placed under control with extensive overhaul at 17:11. OFM was called to the scene to investigate.

Units Assigned: First Alarm- E7, E3, E9, L1, L3, R1, E1, C3, C8, M2. Second Alarm- E5, Tower1, M1, county companies E64, E79, R85.
