2011 hours / 1054 Birch Street / Box 0902 / D platoon

Companies dispatched for a house on fire. Engine 9 arrived at a 2½ story EOR with fire showing from the second floor. Firefighters forced into the dwelling and stretched a line to the second floor. Crews searched the home and found it to be clear of occupants. One firefighter was injured during the incident and required non-urgent transport to the hospital. The fire was placed under control at 2031 hours. No other injuries were reported, the Fire Marshal's Office is investigating. 

*Ladder 3 broke down attempting to respond to the fire, ultimately it required a tow to the city garage.
