Engine 5 Assists Exeter Township on MVA/Fire

22:03 hrs / 3711 Perkiomen Avenue, Exeter Township / C Platoon

Engine 5 was dispatched to the Apollo Pools facility at the address noted for a reported structure fire subsequent to a police chase, which ended with the fleeing vehicle striking and entering the building and igniting.  The operator of the vehicle was removed and placed in the care of EMS.  The fire involving the vehicle was quickly extinguished; however, there was significant structural damage as a result of the impact.  Engine 5 firefighters stood-by on scene for a brief period of time until released by Exeter Township Command (Deputy Chief 25-3).
