Firefighters Raise Over $8600 During Second Boot Drive!
Friday, October 7th, 2011

Taking to the streets once again, for their 2nd annual boot drive for Muscular Dystrophy, the Reading Firefighters collected $8,671. We're proud to report we have collected a total of $18,377.23, beating our 2011 goal of $18,000.

I'd like to thank the members of the "D" platoon, as well as the off-duty & retired firefighters that gracioulsy donated their time to come and help. I give special thanks to Firefighter Jim Miller, who agreed to match whatever amount he raised while collecting!

We're always impressed with the
generosity of the citizens of Reading!
